MISSION: The Indigenous Education Network (IEN) is an organization, founded within OISE/UT in 1989 by Aboriginal students, which provides Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal students, alumni, faculty, and community members with a forum for discussion and action on issues related to Indigenous education and research.

VISION: The Indigenous Education Network strives to:

  • support our members and others interested in Indigenous education at OISE/UT;
  • promote Indigenous education on campus and in the community;
  • advance research on Indigenous issues in relation to education;
  • support the development of Indigenous curriculum at all levels of education;
  • collaborate with campus and community groups to strengthen initiatives related to our mission.
